Cartoonist covered – The New Cartoonist

August has been a pretty busy month starting with the Herne Bay Cartoon Festival, prepping for an upcoming exhibition and then everything else that sends Edinburgh crazy this time of year. All of which means I haven’t yet mentioned something I’m rather pleased with.
Recently I was privileged to be asked to provide the cover for the latest (Summer) issue of The New Cartoonist and also be the subject of an interview by Pete Songi and the TNC team. The interview covers such hot topics such as my process, cartooning influences, Liverpool humour, Doctor Who and Asterix handwash. There’s also a little video chat with Pete and a bit of a nosey where I work.
The New Cartoonist is a magazine that deals with the subject of Cartoons and Cartoonists. It’s absolutely packed with cartoons (obviously), features, interviews, news, behind the scenes and anything else related to the world of cartooning. If you have even the slightest interest in such things then you should give it a try. This issue, past issues and subscriptions can be found here – www.thenewcartoonist.co.uk.
