Coronacartoon of the Year – Winner!

The Lakes International Comics Art Festival took place over the weekend of October 9th-11th. I’m a regular visitor to the festival and usually I’d be on a table at the Comics Clock Tower along with the Cartoonists Club Of Great Britain gang drawing and selling cartoons. But obviously this year was a bit different due to the pandemic with all events taking place online.

One event was the Coronacartoon of the Year‘ – A virtual exhibition of cartoons about the pandemic selected from newspapers and other sources worldwide.

A cartoon of mine that was originally published in Private Eye earlier this year, was voted the winner by the general public.

Massive thanks to anyone who voted for me and to the festival organisers! Although hopefully there’ll be no need for such a competition next year.
