Live Art Liverpool exhibition
As part of the Prince’s Trust ‘Zero to Hero’ Challenge, Liverpool law firm Hill Dickinson recently organised the ‘Live.Art.Liverpool‘ art exhibition, showcasing Liverpool’s finest artistic talent (hey their words not mine!).
I was approached to donate a piece for their week long selling exhibition with all proceeds being donated to the Princes Trust Fairbridge Program which helps young people across Merseyside.
Seeing as it was being held in the fashionable Met Quarter and the Winter Olympics was to be in the news that week I decided to create a watercolour version of my Olympic Curling cartoon.
I went along to the closing reception, hosted by the Lord Mayor, to see how my painting had faired amongst the ‘fine’ artists of the region.. but it was nowhere to be seen. It had been snapped up on the second day and the buyer had wanted to take it home straight away. Thanks for buying whoever you are……. it’s not in the bathroom is it?
Shame I didn’t get to see it in the exhibition but glad it helped in some way to reach the £5000 target for a worthwhile cause.
I shall go on the first night next year.
